About the Product
Take the advantage on the court! In High-Percentage Tennis,
coach Paul Wardlaw presents his winning system of play, called the
“directionals,” that he’s used throughout his 14 successful seasons at
the college level. By learning and mastering his tactical system, you
will respond instinctively to game situations, minimizing errors and
making your play more consistent.
In High-Percentage Tennis, expert players demonstrate
• where to hit the ball based on their opponent’s position on the court,
• when—and when not to—change the direction of the ball,
• how to minimize errors by selecting shots based on the relationship of the ball to the player, and
• how to better recognize offensive opportunities as well as recover from defensive positions.
Wardlaw also teaches you when and where to hit high-percentage
groundstrokes, service returns, passing shots, volleys, and approaches.
Progressive drills for practicing the directionals are included,
helping you develop the techniques and tactics to play directional
tennis. You will also see the directionals in action with footage of
top pros like Andre Agassi and Martina Hingis making high-percentage
shots.
Make the directionals an integral part of your program, and in no time,
you will be playing high-percentage tennis and consistently
winning—game, set, and match!
