Use Dycem® mats to stabilize both equipment and limbs during balancing and weightbearing activities. For gait re-education and balance activities, place Dycem® mats under hands, knees and feet. Make use of different colors to improve coordination, particularly eye-hand coordination. Position a mat to help stabilize hips and feet in exercises like bridging, pelvic tilting and knee rolling,as well as under the head and neck. Also useful to stabilize hips during postural drainage.

Dycem® is an ingenious nonslip plastic that helps solve many of the stabilization and grasping problems encountered by individuals in the clinic, extended care facilities and in the home. It's made from a specially developed polymeric compound with uniquely high co-efficient of friction. All Dycem® products are nontoxix, latex free, color fast, odorless and easily washed. Wash regularly with warm soapy water, not in the dishwasher. Dycem® can be affixed permanently with Superglue or with a neoprene two-way contact adhesive.
